On beautiful West Leaf Lake

About Us...

West Leaf Lake is located in Ottertail, Minnesota. The lake is approximately 640 acres and is an excellent fishing lake, whether you are fishing for Northern Pike, Walleye, Bass or many other types of fish.

A belt of drift hills in this area was named “Gaskibugwudjiwe” by the Ojibways, which translates to “Rustling Leaf Mountain”. This name was also given to the nearby lakes and their out flowing river. The white settlers shortened the name, hence we have Leaf Mountain, East and West Leaf Lake and Leaf River.
